Two short plays about Brother Jeroboam, the rather less than holy West African beach divine created by Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka. In this original comedy, the charlatan preacher, burdened by a“cross” known as the daughter of Eve uses Christian superstition for his own salvation. In the sequel, the profit minded Prophet thwarts a government attempt to cleanse the beach of all the dubious brethren who ply their trade there.
These wonderful plays are scheduled for a four-week season starting 7th July 2013 to 24th July 2013.
Directed by Kenneth Uphopho
